Their prices may not be the cheapest, but the quality is unparalleled. You pay for what you get, and their premium fresh durian pulp boasts a creamy texture and rich aftertaste. There's plenty of seating area in this two-story, air-conditioned durian center. Also impressive is their vacuum packaging, which is airtight and doesn't give off a lingering durian smell.

 

If you find a worm in your durian, fret not because it'll be replaced immediately with a good, new fruit. After a "heaty" feast, cool down over fresh, sweet coconut and other beverages priced at RM5.

Located opposite Watson’s at the SS2 commercial hub, SS2 Durian House Stall offers irresistible “durian runtuh” prices to entice customers to eat on a whim!

 

Considering the bumper harvest and the glut in supply, you can walk away with a decently graded Musang King at RM20 per fruit! Their durians are super fragrant and guaranteed sweet, with a thick flesh that will satiate your cravings.

 

You’ll also find other varieties like the Johor A Grade D101. Remember to hone your bargaining skills, as hackling can lower the price from RM80 to RM54!

 

While the D101 is not pungent smelling, the taste is intensely sweet with a subtly bitter aftertaste.

 

Sellers here are friendly and there are ample stand humidifiers to keep the place cool.

During the durian season, Sinnaco Durian Specialist handpicks the finest durians from their Bentong and Penang orchards in the morning and delivers them to the shop.

Straddled between SS2 Durian house and Durian 3333, Brother Durian is popular for their durian buffet where you can eat XO and D24 durians till you drop! And all these cost only RM50!

 

Honesty is their best policy. So if the durian does not live up to standards, they won’t serve it. Their Kang Hai and Udang Merah are lip-smacking good, full-bodied, and robust in flavor too.

 

If you’re on a budget, you’ll find cheaper durians priced at RM5 for one Udang Merah or D13, RM10 for bigger Udang Merah, and RM100 for 4 Musang King durians.

 

Parking is a hassle at the heart of SS2. So, be patient and make a few rounds around the block to secure your space.

If you notice a concentration of cars parked at the end of Jalan 19/29, the culprit is none other than Donald Durian @ Seksyen 19

Famous for their Musang King, their rendition is not watery or mushy, but tender while exuding a seductive golden, royal yellow. Creamy and bitter-sweet with a distinct aroma, durian lovers throng Donald Durian for their quality fruits and honest selling.

 

If the fruit is overripe or below standards, they will not serve it or sell it.

 

A sign of a matured orchard, their Musang King oozes with a hint of bitter aftertaste. Their D2, D18, Sultan, and Kampung Durians bode well with die-hard durian lovers too, who love the fruity-like flavor of thin flesh wrapped over a sizable seed.

If you venture further down the road from Sinacco, you’ll find Ah Kwong Durian - a roadside fruit stall that sells a diverse variety of durians.

 

Manned by a mix of local and foreign workers, one of their foreign workers has a good eye for picking delicious durians!

 

Fairly priced at RM 26 per kg, their Musang Kings are moist and sweet with a distinct, bitter tinge. You’ll also find other varieties like the Black Thorn, Red Prawn, and Tekka sold here.

 

While it looks like a wooden shack by the roadside, don’t be put off by its appearance

Operated by a sister and brother, this family-run durian stall garnered a mixed bag of reviews.

 

While prices are cheap and affordable, don’t place too high hopes on getting premium-grade durians. What you’ll get are decent quality durians that allow you to binge on them more often given that its prices are gentler on the wallet.

 

Their Musang King’s are sweet and acceptable, but they lack the bitter nuance you get with pricier, matured durians.

 

This air-conditioned durian stall is comfortable, not as packed as the other durian shops, and serves Thai food too.

 

Do come at 2 pm as new durians are shipped in, thus providing customers with more choices.
