Food
The Pad Thai is flavorful and a standout. Well-seasoned with the right level of spice, its served with a medley of tofu, green vegetables, bean sprouts, egg and a slice of kasturi lime. I added a sunny side fried egg on top to pack in more protein.
Infact, you can also add on chicken Katsu or vegetarian drum stick to personalize your meal based on your appetite. Or to suit vegans who don’t consume any animal products.
Diners also swoon by the Nyonya Curry Mee, an amalgamation of divine gravy that balances creamy coconut milk with aromatic spices to perfection.
The Penne Mushroom sautéed in arabiata sauce was good to the last morsel. The tomato-based sauce had a tinge of spice that was just right, and is well infused with garlicky nuances. The fresh parsley and button mushrooms added zest and texture to this pasta dish.
The Pasta Aglio Olio with Plant-Based Katsu served with mock chicken slices and button mushrooms is delicious. Sprinkled with fresh parsley, the chicken Katsu had smoky undertones that enhanced the overall dish.
If you're looking for a thirst quenching drink to fuel your concentration, the Lavender Lemonade is a good bet.
Alternatively, the Pink Lemonade makes a fizzy combo that’s refreshing and pretty in looks too.
Pricing
Drinks start at RM5 (for a cup of honey lime) and the starting price for a meal s RM9 (for the basic Pad Thai). Average price per main meal (like pastas) is RM16.
The total bill for 3 of us including drinks came up to RM60, which is extremely affordable. Besides, the food portions here are generous too and I had to pack away some of my Pad Thai.
In short, dining or ordering M Laboori food is something you can afford every day!
