If you’re heading to Bentong or Bukit Tinggi for a short retreat, make a pit stop at Summer Park Restaurant.
Located a short drive after the T-Junction and in the opposite direction from Janda Baik, Summer Park Restaurant is like a breath of fresh air in this laidback town.
Its ambiance is scenic with hints of Japanese lux flanked by lush greenery dotted with fruit trees plus a secondary forest. Indeed, Summer Park Restaurant lives up to its name for its tasty food.
About Summer Park Restaurant Bukit Tinggi

This restaurant in Bukit Tinggi is a family-owned business established in 2008.
In fact, Summer Park Restaurant witnessed at 360’ pivot from its original business model paddling grandma’s comforting soup noodles, Teo Chew rice cakes, and free-range eggs.
From its humble beginnings as a small, intimate eatery with a barren land fronted by a homely house-like structure, its façade underwent a facelift. Upon transformation, Summer Park Restaurant now looks decently upscale in the middle of nowhere (albeit Kampung Bukit Tinggi).
Its constant cool breeze and sprawling space put you at ease the moment you set foot into this cozy place.
Accessibility
Located approximately 50 km from Petaling Jaya or 45 minutes away, Summer Park Restaurant is accessible via the KL-Karak highway.
For guidance, simply launch the Waze app and key in Restaurant Summer Park to navigate your way here.
Ambiance
Summer Park Restaurant occupies a sprawling space that offers ample parking and a double-story seating area with heritage and traditional decor.

The open bar display captivates attention with an impressive line up of Soju, wines, spirits originating from the Old and New World.

The back of the restaurant is a scenic piece of land dotted with fruit trees and flower plants, infringed by a secondary forest. Their toilets are clean, as is the restaurant too.

Open wooden shelves are filled with native Bentong products like biscuits, confectionaries, sauces, and of course, organic farm eggs.
Service at Summer Park Restaurant Bukit Tinggi
Service was prompt and courteous, and the owner was attentive as she recommended the right dishes based on our requests.
As we arrived for early lunch at 11 am, there wasn’t a crowd, and food was served quickly.
Come lunchtime, the place wasn’t packed given its massive space. But the main seating area was fully occupied.
Food at Summer Park Restaurant Bukit Tinggi
Summer Park Restaurant’s menu whets your appetite with a wide variety of delicious Cantonese-style cuisine.

The Clam (lala) soup with glass noodles is a knock-out, delivering an unforgettable taste that makes you yearn for more.
The spicy undertones of Bentong ginger coupled with refreshing cilantro and a broth infused with sweet clam essence makes it slurp-worthy. This could be one of the best ginger wine clam noodles we’ve ever tasted!

Their signature 3-layer tofu hones its aromatic prowess. The top and bottom layers consist of firmer, fried tofu, while the center slice is wobbly and jiggle, with subtle accents of soya.

The sweet and sour pork showcased the chef’s culinary artistry with a good balance between sweet and sour nuances. Fried over high heat, the pork is crispy on the outside and oozes to a succulent, tender burst of meat on the inside.
The fried chicken with mix spice was a crunchy delight all round. Its bite size chunks ensure that the each piece is thoroughly fried and seasoned, leaving you with a lingering crackle as you munch.
The ginger chicken recommended by the staff may seem like an undistinguished dish, but it turned out surprisingly good! The grated ginger and generous sprinkles of spring onion enhance the chicken’s taste profile with a mild tinge of heat.
Pricing
Be forewarned that the pricing leans on the higher continuum, and expect to pay KL or PJ prices. The 4 dishes we ordered for 9 pax came up to about RM350++.
Conclusion
To say that Summer Park Restaurant serves the best food in Bukit Tinggi isn’t quite accurate.
While the lala soup noodles and 3-layer tofu are top-notch, we can’t say the same for some dishes. There were hits and misses, but the environment and warm hospitality compensate for any shortfall taste-wise.
Nevertheless, its strategic location on the way to Bentong and Bukit Tinggi positions it as a perfect place to fuel up for an adventure ahead!
